Southworth trial: Jury deliberation begins

After putting one witness on the stand, the attorney defending Donald Southworth on a murder charge rested his case Friday morning. The jury received instructions about 9 a.m. and then heard closing arguments from the defense and prosecution.

Deliberations began about 11:30 a.m.

Southworth is accused of killing his wife, Umi. Umi Southworth, 44, was found in the bushes outside her home on Meadowthorpe Avenue.
