Frankfort man charged with 43 counts of child pornography

Kentucky State Police charged a Frankfort man Thursday with more than 40 counts of possessing child pornography.

Jamie H. Roberts, 33, was indicted by a Franklin County Grand Jury on Wednesday.

According to troopers, Roberts originally was arrested last November in Anderson County and was being held there on an indictment charging him with sexual abuse and attempted sodomy. A KSP investigation growing out of that case led to the additional charges in Franklin County, police said.

Roberts is charged with 42 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, and one count of distribution of said matter.

He has been moved to the Franklin County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
