Kentucky State Police arrested a gunshot victim late Saturday and charged him with rape.
Police were called to McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital on Saturday in response to a report of a rape. After talking to the victim, police went to a home in Wayland, where they found David Jason Slone, 38, who had been injured from a single gunshot wound.
Slone was taken to McDowell to be treated for his injuries and was later charged with first-degree rape.
While at Slone's house, police also charged Kathleen Keen, 40, with first-degree assault in relation to the rape. Keen was taken to the Floyd County Detention Center late Saturday.
