Georgetown teen is accused of murder, pleads not guilty

A Georgetown teen accused of shooting three people in an act of domestic violence was charged with murder Friday and pleaded not guilty, according to court documents.

Police charged Edgar Noel Vieyra, 18, after one of the victims, Librado Romero, died from his injuries two days after the shooting. A bond was not set for the new charge.

Vieyra was originally charged with three counts of first-degree assault. Romero, his wife, Maria, and his daughter Nallely were all shot after Vieyra broke into their Wayland Drive home early Monday, according to court documents and witnesses. Family said Vieyra was upset because Nallely, the mother of his children, had taken out a restraining order against him.

Vieyra is also charged with violating a domestic violence order, first-degree burglary and second-degree assault for allegedly hitting another family member with the gun, according to court documents.

He is scheduled to return to court Monday.
