Eight seniors face charges in vandalism at West Jessamine High

Eight West Jessamine High School seniors have been charged in last week's vandalism and burglary of the school, Nicholasville police said.

Police released the names of seven seniors who were charged as adults.

Jonah Gentry, Jeff Ziemann and Kendall Jones were charged with third-degree burglary. Harold Brabon, Austin Martin, Joseph Durbin and Sean Donaldson were charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary.

Police said one juvenile, whose name was not released, also was charged.

The vandalism included spray-painting outside the school. Inside, petroleum jelly was put on an interactive whiteboard. Police are waiting on final figures for damages at the school. Restitution will be sought, police said in a release.
