Lexington police were still looking Sunday for an escapee from the Adair County Regional Jail who was spotted in Lexington Saturday afternoon.
Police Lt. Dean Marcum said Antonio Howard is "considered still outstanding. We have nothing new on him."
Howard fled on foot Saturday from a car in which he was a passenger when police spotted him about 2 p.m. Saturday in the area of Florence Drive and Douglas Avenue.
Police have not identified the driver of the car or provided information about him.
Howard, 24, of Lexington, walked away from the minimum-security jail on Thursday with another inmate, Ira Boles, 26, of Florence.
Police had suspected that Howard might come to Lexington because he had made threats against a former girlfriend in Lexington.
Howard was in jail for conviction for possession of a controlled substance and had been sentenced to five years in prison. Boles was convicted of theft and also faces a five-year sentence.
