Motorcyclist in critical condition after Yarnallton Pike wreck

A motorcycle rider who was badly injured in a crash on Yarnallton Pike in Lexington on Saturday remained in critical condition Sunday at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.Tyler S. Lynn of Lexington was driving south on a 2000 Honda 600RR when a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Kathleen M. Schings, also of Lexington, turned left in front of him, police said in a news release.Lynn tried to brake and avoid the collision, but didn’t have enough room to stop and hit the car, police said.Lynn was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.Schings was not injured.Police do not suspect either driver was impaired, according to the news release.Police responded to the wreck at 851 N. Yarnallton Pike just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
