Versailles police were making arrests Thursday in a drug roundup that began earlier in the week, Assistant Police Chief Jim Fugate said Thursday.
A Woodford County grand jury recently indicted 40 people on more than 60 charges, and so far police have arrested at least 25 of them, Fugate said.
The charges included first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
Marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone and hydrocodone are among the drugs that have been seized, Fugate said.
