A Fayette County man who fired shots at a Divas Gentleman's Club employee earlier this year was sentenced to 10 years in prison, a U.S. Attorney's Office news release said.

U.S. Senior District Judge Joseph M. Hood sentenced Jafari T. Moore, 31, Tuesday for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

A jury found Moore guilty in July.

On March 20, Moore took a .40-caliber pistol from another man in the parking lot of Divas, 1318 Russell Cave Road. Police said Moore shot at the man and a Divas employee before leaving the club. The victims did not have life-threatening injuries.

Lexington police officers stopped Moore in his vehicle shortly after the shooting and found the pistol. Moore had a previous felony conviction and was not supposed to have a gun.
