Coroner: Passenger killed in Woodford County wreck was Lexington teen

A passenger killed in a Wednesday car wreck was a Lexington teenager, the Woodford County coroner said Thursday.

Coroner Ronald Owens identified the girl as Ambrielle Brown, 18.

Three others who were injured also were from Lexington, Owens said.

A Pontiac Grand Am was headed west on Dry Ridge Road, near Shannon Run Road, when the vehicle went over a hill and dropped off the right side of the road. The driver lost control, and the vehicle then crossed the road, ran off the left side and hit a tree, Versailles police said Thursday.

Lt. Daniel Clark said one passenger, a 17-year-old boy, was airlifted to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl, and a third passenger. Sunday Moore, 18, were taken to the UK hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

Clark would not identify the 17-year-olds, and their conditions were not immediately available.

Moore was treated at the emergency room and released, UK Hospital spokeswoman Kristi Lopez said.

A passerby reported the wreck just before 5 p.m.
