A bicyclist who was struck and killed Monday on Georgetown Road was identified Tuesday as Lawrence Crawford, 61, of Georgetown.
The Fayette Coroner's office said Tuesday that Crawford died of massive blunt-force trauma.
Crawford was riding his bicycle on Georgetown Road at 5:48 p.m. Monday when he was struck by an SUV at the Ironworks Pike intersection, Lexington police said.
Witnesses told police that Crawford was trying to cross Georgetown Road from Ironworks Pike; the SUV was traveling south on Georgetown Road.

The SUV apparently had the right of way at the time of the collision, according to the coroner's office and Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts.
Crawford, a systems analyst for Koch Industries in Lexington, was bicycling home from work when the accident happened, said his son-in-law Jamie Brandenburg.
Crawford rode to and from work, about 30 miles, and logged more than 5,000 miles riding across the country each year, Brandenburg said.
"This is the first accident in 20 years of avid biking," Brandenburg said.
Crawford is survived by his wife, Ladonna Crawford; one son, Jordan Crawford; and one daughter, Lauren Brandenburg.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
