Lexington police were trying Wednesday to determine the events that led to a standoff Tuesday night at a home on Parkers Mill Road in Lexington, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
Shortly before 10 p.m., a man called police and said a woman inside the house had fired a gun at him. He wasn't injured and was standing outside the home.
The woman, who appeared to be intoxicated, refused to come out of the house. An emergency response unit entered the home at 2:46 a.m., Roberts said.
The woman told police she had been a victim of domestic violence earlier in the evening, Roberts said. The woman had three male roommates, and Roberts said it was unclear Wednesday who the woman was accusing of abusing her.

The woman was taken to a hospital with superficial cuts and bruises, Roberts said. Roberts would not identify any of the alleged victims or perpetrators.
As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, police had not charged anyone.
