Drowning and hypothermia killed the woman found in a creek at Lexington golf course, the Fayette County coroner said Friday.
The death of Nancy Braun, 56, of Lexington, was ruled accidental in an autopsy performed Friday, according to the coroner's news release.
Braun's body was found in a creek on the city-owned Gay Brewer Jr. Course at Picadome at 469 Parkway Drive.
There were a few inches of water in the creek when Braun's body was found, Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said. Employees told investigators the water level had been higher in days prior, she said.

Braun had been reported missing by her family last week. Police said Thursday they thought the body was that of the missing woman, but couldn't release her name pending an autopsy and notification of family.
A volunteer picking up golf balls found Braun's body about 11:30 a.m. Thursday near the course's 18th hole, police said.
