London postal worker accused of stealing prescription drugs from VA

A Laurel County man who was working as a U.S. Postal Service officer was indicted Thursday for embezzling mail sent from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Darrell L. Hensley, 54, of London is accused of stealing prescription drugs from Veterans Affairs, according to an indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Lexignton. The alleged offense took place between Sept. 6, 2012 and March 10, 2013.

A court date has not been scheduled. If convicted, Hensley faces a minimum of probation and a maximum of five years in prison.
