Lexington police say man turned himself in after robbing bank

A man turned himself in Saturday after he allegedly robbed the Wood Forrest Bank at 2350 Grey Lag Way on the same day, according to Lexington police.

Leon J. Cavins, 54, is charged with one count of second-degree robbery, according to a news release.

Police say Cavins entered the bank, which is inside a Wal-Mart, and passed a teller a note demanding cash. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the release.
