A Pike County woman was found dead Wednesday on Lick Fork Road off US 23, deputy coroner of Pike County Greg Hall said.
Jessica L. Hall, 30, of Virgie was pronounced dead on scene, said Greg Hall who is of no relation to Jessica Hall.
Investigators received a call about a person in the road at 4:36 a.m. Wednesday, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.
The Pike County coroner said several open alcohol containers were found on scene and he thinks Jessica Hall was lying unconscious in the road before being struck by a vehicle. Her body was being sent to Frankfort, where an autopsy will be performed.

State police would not confirm those details Thursday. When state trooper Jake Stinnett got to Lick Fork in the Dorton community to the scene Jessica Hall was already dead, the news release said.
No one has been charged and the investigation is ongoing.
