A judge granted a temporary injunction against the owner of a cemetery monuments and headstones company, prohibiting the owner from making sales, Attorney General Jack Conway announced Thursday.
Circuit Judge Thomas D. Wingate granted the injunction Tuesday against Donald R. Curtis of Central Kentucky, owner of Resource Granite Sales.
Curtis is accused of taking advance payments from customers but never installing the product, which is in violation of Kentucky's Consumer Protection Act, according to a statement from the Attorney General's office.
The Attorney General began investigating Curtis after it received complaints from consumers. Court documents say Curtis violated a 2012 consent judgement that required him to disclose certain information to consumers and file reports to the Attorney General when taking payments in advance.

Curtis also must submit a sworn report "listing every customer with whom he had an outstanding contract," according to court documents.
