Man shot, killed outside Lexington strip club; suspect identified

Johntel Crocker, 22, has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting early Sunday at Diva's, a strip club at 1320 Russell Cave Road in Lexington, and police are seeking help in locating the man they think pulled the trigger.

Police issued a murder warrant Sunday for Joshua Lee Tevis, 27. He also goes by the name Joshua Lee Manuel, according to police.

A fight broke out in the club's parking about 2:30 a.m., and shots were fired. It was unclear whether Crocker was involved in the fight or was a bystander. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, according to a news release from the Fayette County coroner's office. Funeral arrangements were pending.

Sunday's shooting was not the first time there has been gun violence at the club. According to Herald-Leader archives there was a shooting at the club in March 2012. Jafari T. Moore, 31, was arrested and convicted of felony possession of a firearm. The victim did not have life-threatening injuries.
