A 37-year-old man was arrested on a first-degree robbery charge after a woman was attacked Sunday night in Lexington, and investigators are trying to determine whether he is linked to robberies Saturday at Lexington service stations, police said.

Police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said police were called to a home on Dalton Court about 10 p.m. Sunday. Police found a woman who had been robbed and beaten up, Roberts said.

Police began a search and arrested Brian S. Kirk about 30 minutes later, after spotting a car belonging to him in a parking lot off Winchester Road. WKYT reported that the car was found at a hotel, and police found evidence connected to other robberies.

Police are trying to determine whether Kirk was involved in robberies Saturday at three Speedway gas stations in Lexington, Roberts said.

Police said those robberies occurred at 7:30 a.m. at a station off Paris Pike; at 3:30 p.m. at New Circle and Liberty roads, and about 8 p.m. at Tates Creek and Old Mount Tabor roads. In the last robbery, the robber fled without getting any money, police said.
