A woman who was struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night remained in critical condition Monday afternoon, Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
The woman's identity was not released. Lt. Chris Van Brackel said the woman suffered serious injuries, particularly to the head. She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
Police were called to 1401 Old Frankfort Pike at 6:50 p.m. They said they were looking for a dark car, possibly a Pontiac G6 sports car, with front-end damage on the passenger side. The model of the car is between 2006 and 2009.
Roberts said police have limited information regarding the case and are asking for the public's help.
