Deputy jailer accused of bring contraband into Kentucky River Regional Jail

A deputy jailer at the Kentucky River Regional Jail was arrested Friday and charged with bringing contraband into the jail.

Bruce Campbell, 27, of Hazard, was arrested at his home by state police, after they received a complaint from jail officials, according to a news release.

Campbell was charged with one count of first-degree official misconduct and taken to the Leslie County Detention Center.

State police said more charges and arrests are likely in connection with the case.
