The case of an 88-year-old-man accused of murder in the death of his wife was waived to a Fayette County grand jury Thursday.
John Blevins allegedly shot his wife, Elizabeth Blevins, 85, on Jan. 4 at a home on Sommerville Drive.
John Blevins has been diagnosed with dementia, according to Fayette County coroner Gary Ginn.
Blevins is free on bond, but he must wear an ankle monitor and be in the custody of a relative at all times while he is free.
