An Owsley County woman has died of injuries she suffered Sunday in a wreck, state police said in a news release.

Norma Gay was driving on Ky. 2022 at Buckhorn, in Perry County, on Sunday evening when her 2000 Ford pickup truck went over an embankment, overturned and landed upside down in a creek.

Gay, 65, was flown to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn., but state police were later notified that she had died, according to a news release issued Tuesday.
