Seven Pulaski County elementary school students escaped injury Tuesday morning when their school bus was struck by another vehicle.
It happened on Dahl-Elrod Road about 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, the Pulaski County sheriff's department said.
According to deputies, Roger Johnson, 48, of Somerset was traveling north when his Toyota Corolla crossed the center line as his car approached the bus in the oncoming lane on a curve.
The bus driver, Darla Mink, 41, also of Somerset, tried to avoid the car by swerving to the side of the road and coming to a stop, officers said.
Johnson lost control, and the Toyota struck the left front of the bus, according to deputies.
The seven students — none of whom was injured — were taken to school in another bus. Neither driver was injured.
An investigation is continuing.
