The driver killed in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday night in northern Fayette County has been identified, the Fayette County Coroner's Office said.
Jeffrey D. Thornbury Jr., 29, of Paris died of blunt-force trauma to the head, according to the coroner's office. He was alone in the vehicle.
Thornbury was not wearing a seat belt, according to the coroner.
Authorities said Thornbury's car went out of control about 8 p.m. Wednesday on Greenwich Pike, striking a utility pole and then going through a fence in the 5400 block of Greenwich Pike.
