Fugitive wanted on felony fraud charge found in Bell County

A federal fugitive was arrested in Middlesboro Thursday night after police received an anonymous tip, according to Kentucky State Police.

James Oliver Johnson, Jr., 43, was taken into custody about 9 p.m. Thursday, according to the Harlan KSP post.

Johnson was wanted on a federal marshal warrant charging him with felony fraud, according to police. He also is charged with local felony warrants in Bell County, they said.

Johnson was in the Bell County Detention Center.

The investigation continues.
