Boyfriend critically injured after jumping out of car in Boyle County

A Louisville man was listed in critical condition Sunday at a Lexington hospital after he jumped from a moving vehicle, according to a release from the Boyle County Sheriff's Office.

Richard Arthur Blocker Jr., 42, was airlifted to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital after the incident occurred about 11 p.m. Saturday west of Perryville.

Blocker leapt from the vehicle as his girlfriend, Nancy Jane Schook, was driving it west on Ky. 150, the release said. No one else was in the vehicle.

Schook was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, first offense. She was being held in the Boyle County jail.
