Lexington police issued an arrest warrant Wednesday for a man charged in a shooting last week.
Kreisler Charles, 19, is charged with two counts of first-degree assault after two people were shot in the leg Friday night.
Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts, speaking to reporters at police headquarters, said officers were called to the 1000 block of Winburn Drive at 10:53 p.m. Friday when a man was shot in the upper, right leg. When police and the man were heading to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, a second report was received after a woman walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower, right leg.
Detectives think the woman was in the same area during the shooting, Roberts said.

Roberts said Friday's shooting followed a disagreement between Charles, a group of his friends and the two people who were shot.
Neither of the victims had life-threatening injuries. Charles was identified by witnesses as the shooter, she added.
Friday's shooting was about 12 hours after Jeffrey Adams, 19, was found shot to death in the hallway of an apartment complex on McCullough Drive at 10:30 a.m. No arrests have been made in that shooting, Roberts said.
However, police are trying to determine whether the two shootings are related because of location, day and possible relationships.
