Richmond Road convenience store robbed early Monday

Lexington police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store early Monday morning on Richmond Road.

It happened just before 4 a.m. at a Circle K food mart at 3470 Richmond Road, south of Man o' War Boulevard, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.

She said a clerk told police that a man with a blue bandanna covering his face entered the store and demanded money from the register.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber left on foot, headed toward Squires Road, police said.

The robber didn't threaten to use force, and he didn't display a weapon or imply that he had one, Roberts said.

The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall with a medium build; he was wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans.
