Mother and son among three indicted in West Liberty man's shooting death

A Morgan County grand jury has indicted a mother and son along with another man in the shooting death of a West Liberty man earlier this month.

Christopher S. Peyton, 20, of West Liberty, is charged with murder in the case, according to state police in Morehead.

Kimberly D. Peyton, 55, also of West Liberty, is charged with complicity to commit murder, troopers said. She is Christopher Peyton's mother, according to police.

Another West Liberty resident, Michael S. Ferguson, 22, is charged with facilitation to murder and tampering with evidence, according to state police.

All three are being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center at Paintsville, police said.

Randy Williams, 33, was found shot to death Oct. 16 at his home on Dyer Branch in West Liberty.

Williams suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to authorities.
