A Trigg County man who claimed to have survived a shooting that killed his parents, sister and another man has now been charged with murder in connection with the deaths of all four.
Kentucky State Police have charged Ryan Champion, 36, with four counts of murder and one count of kidnapping, according to a news release issued Friday. He is being held in the Christian County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
State police initially said they thought one of the victims, Vito Y. Riservato, 22, shot the three family members at their home in Cadiz on Oct. 26. Lindsey Champion, 62; his wife, Joy A. Champion, 60; and the couple's 31-year-old daughter Emily K. Champion were found dead along with Riservato.
