A Williamsburg man has been charged after admitting to police that he abused his daughter.
Skyler Wilson, 25, is charged with 45 counts of first-degree criminal abuse and fourth-degree child abuse that resulted in multiple bruises, cuts and scabs on his 5-year-old daughter, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.
Police were told about the abuse by Knox County Social Services after the child's mother had taken her to Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin for treatment. It was determined that the abuse happened while the girl was living with Wilson, the release said.
Wilson was arrested Friday morning and was being held in the Knox County jail.
