Lexington police arrested a man Tuesday and charged him with robbing a bank just moments before, as well as robbing another business a week earlier.
Police were called to a report of a robbery at the Central Bank at 3101 Mapleleaf Drive at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, and when they arrived, employees told them that a man had demanded money and then left on foot, according to a news release.
Police made a traffic stop on Bainbridge Drive nearby and arrested Ronnie Michael Wilcox, 32, charging him with second-degree robbery.
Wilcox was also charged with first-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the robbery of Advance America at 352 Southland Drive at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 11.
