A bus driver who was transporting 41 Elliott County High School students and nine adults home from a Future Business Leaders of America field trip in Louisiana was arrested Sunday in Washington County and charged with driving under the influence and wanton endangerment.
Kentucky State Police said in a news release that Holly M. Brown, 46, of Louisville was arrested after a student on the bus "called a parent with concerns about the driver."
The parent called state police, who notified surrounding police agencies.
An Anderson County deputy sheriff found the bus at the EZ Stop Store and Restaurant on Ky. 555 near Willisburg. Realizing he was out of his county jurisdiction, the deputy notified state police, who found Brown in the store and arrested her, the news release said.
