Laurel County deputies went to a home to serve a federal indictment warrant on an East Bernstadt resident, and they ended up also arresting three others on drug charges.
It happened Monday morning on Helton Road, about five miles north of London, the Laurel County Sheriff's Department said.
The department's special response unit, along with representatives from the U.S. Marshals Service, went to arrest James Helton Jr., 55, of East Bernstadt. He had been indicted on federal charges that included conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of firearms by a felon.
Deputies also arrested three others who allegedly were involved in drug trafficking, the sheriff's office said.
