The Taco Bell on Richmond Road in Lexington was robbed just before 8 a.m. Saturday by a man wielding a shotgun.
The man, who was white, was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, sunglasses, something white covering the rest of his face, and green sweats, according to Lt. Chris Van Brackel of the Lexington Police Department.
The gunman left the restaurant at 2917 Richmond Road and headed north on foot, he said.
WKYT reported other robberies overnight Friday: windows were smashed out at Tokyo Sushi, on North Locust Hill Road; someone broke into Tobacco Hut on Pimlico Parkway in the Park Hills Center; and thieves broke in the back door and stole a safe at a Shell gas station on North Broadway. Police told WKYT they aren't sure whether the burglaries are connected.
