A male juvenile was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night in Lexington by a person who got away with his Nike athletic shoes, police said.
It happened just after 7 p.m. in the 300 block of Bainbridge Drive, off Palumbo Drive, according to officers.
Lt. Jesse Harris said the victim was walking on the street when another male approached him with a handgun and demanded his shoes. Harris said the robber might be a juvenile, but police had not been able to confirm that.
The victim indicated he might know the robber, according to Harris.

Police searched the area around Bainbridge and Palumbo, but were unable to locate the suspect. He was described as about 5-foot-10, wearing a gray hoodie and jeans, and carrying a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun.
