A man is facing federal charges in connection with two Lexington bank robberies last summer.
An information filed in U.S. District Court in Lexington charges William Joseph McBride Jr. with robbing the Chase Bank on Clays Mill Road on June 21 and the Chase Bank on Nicholasville Road on July 19.
A handgun was used in both robberies, police have said.
The information states that McBride took $7,385 in the first robbery and $3,684 in the second.

Lexington police originally filed charges against McBride in August. At that time, he was being held in Franklin County Detention Center in Columbus, Ohio, in a separate case.
