Collision with tractor-trailer kills two Somerset men

A collision with a tractor-trailer on Friday killed two Somerset men.

Pulaski County Coroner Charles Godbey said Jody Johnson, 28, and Justin Angel, 30, were riding in a small car about 2 p.m. when a tractor-trailer ran into the passenger's side at the intersection of Ky. 914 and Ky. 80 West. Johnson was in the back seat, while Angel was the front-seat passenger.

Both men suffered blunt-force trauma to the body, Godbey said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both men were wearing seat belts.

A third person was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, Godbey said. He said he did not have details about the person's injuries.
