Two tractor-trailer rigs collided on Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County early Tuesday morning, shutting down the northbound lanes for almost three hours.
One driver, Jeffrey Shempert, 42, of Parrish, Ala., suffered minor injuries, Kentucky State Police said.
The crash happened about 4:45 a.m. near Mount Vernon, according to state police at the London post.
Troopers said Shempert was driving north in a 2015 Freightliner truck when his rig was struck from behind by a 1996 Freightliner driven by Hussein O. Dadd, 51, of Arlington, Texas.

Shempert was treated at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. Dadd was not hurt.
The northbound lanes were closed for almost three hours while state police vehicle-enforcement officers investigated and work crews cleared debris. Northbound traffic was rerouted onto U.S. 25 while the work continued.
Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash, state police said.
