A robbery investigation in Clay County led to three arrests and the discovery of a mobile methamphetamine lab Wednesday night, Kentucky State Police said.
Todd Ruth, 39, and Robert C. Young, 35, both of Manchester, and Sandra Miller, 42, of Delphia in Perry County, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and resisting arrest, police said.
Ruth and Young also are charged with being persistent felony offenders, according to the state police post at London.
Authorities said the robbery occurred about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Liquor Mart on Ky. 80 at Manchester.
State police said two men and a woman fled in a 1998 Ford Explorer. Todd Ruth was identified in surveillance footage, troopers said.
The inquiry led troopers and Manchester city police to a home on Big Creek Road in rural Clay County. A Ford Explorer was parked in the driveway there about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, and Ruth, Young and Miller were inside it, police said.
An active meth lab also was found inside the SUV, along with items used in manufacturing methamphetamine, police said.
The three were being held in the Clay County jail.
Manchester police are continuing an investigation into the liquor store robbery, state police said.
