Three men were charged with attempted murder after two people were shot during a home invasion in Laurel County last week.
Eddie Eversole, 28, of Somerset; and Kaleb McKiddy, 24, and Kyle Wilson, 20, both of Corbin, are charged with attempted murder in the March 2 home invasion of the home of Pamela Newcomb, 47, according to the Laurel County sheriff's department.
According to the department, the men entered Newcomb's home on Hazel Patch Road at 8:09 p.m., while she was there, intending to rob her. A fight began, and several shots were fired.
Newcomb was shot in the stomach, and Eversole was also shot, the release said.
Eversole and McKiddy are also charged with first-degree robbery. Wilson is also charged with tampering with evidence and giving an officer a false name. The men were being held in the Laurel County jail.
