A Russell County man was in fair condition Sunday at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, allegedly after being shot by his father over the weekend.
Damon Ballenger, 27, was wounded early Saturday during an altercation with Mitchell Ballenger, 52, in Jamestown, Kentucky State Police said.
Damon Ballenger had gone to his father's residence on West Cumberland Avenue, and the two began arguing, troopers said.

Police said they were called to the scene just after 4 a.m. CDT Saturday.
Damon Ballenger was airlifted to UK after the shooting.
Mitchell Ballenger was charged with first-degree assault and lodged in the Russell County jail, police said.
