State police are investigating a case in which it appears a man stabbed his wife to death, then died of a heart attack.
Emergency responders were called to 212 Riverview Drive in Warsaw at 8:39 p.m. Monday about a man complaining of chest pain.
Anthony Upton, 51, had a heart attack and died after being taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital, state police said.
Soon after Upton was taken to the hospital, the landlord of the home where Upton and his wife, Robin Upton, lived found her with apparent stab wounds, a state police dispatcher said. Robin Upton, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallatin County coroner.
State police said in a news release that they were "processing evidence from the scene and at this time it is not believed a suspect is at large."
