A 22-year-old Lexington man was the victim in a fatal stabbing at an apartment complex, the coroner's office announced Monday afternoon. Salahuddin Jitmoud died from "sharp force injuries," according to the coroner's office. Police said earlier that Jitmoud was stabbed Sunday night.
An autopsy was conducted Monday.
Jitmoud was a delivery driver for the Pizza Hut on Saron Drive, according to a WKYT-TV report. He was found dead about 10:45 p.m. in the breezeway of building 11 of Walnut Hill Apartments, 3716 Trent Circle, Lt. David Biroschik said.
WKYT reported that Jitmoud was making a delivery at the time.
Investigators were at the scene until about 3 a.m. Monday.
No arrests have been made. The investigation continues.
Jitmoud was Lexington's sixth homicide victim of the year, coming two days after the shooting death of University of Kentucky student Jonathan Krueger.
