An Estill County man is facing 20 counts of distributing child pornography on the web, Kentucky State Police said.
Alexander Ramos, 31, was arrested Wednesday after troopers executed a search warrant at his residence, officials said.
Ramos, who was lodged in the Estill county jail, faces one to five years in prison for each of the 20 counts in the charges, state police said.
KSP's Electronic Crime Branch began an undercover investigation after discovering that Ramos allegedly had been sharing digital images of child porn, troopers said.
The materials included videos of sexual acts involving children, they said.
Computer equipment at Ramos' residence was seized and taken to the state police forensic laboratory for examination.
The investigation is continuing, police said.
