Two people were killed in a fiery seven-vehicle crash Tuesday on Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky State Police said.
Jonathan D. Roark, 34, of Barbourville, died when his car was involved in a collision with six other commercial vehicles on I-75. The name of the other person killed won’t be released until relatives are notified, state police said.
Trooper Lloyd Cochran said five 18-wheelers also were involved in the crash, according to Associated Press.
The southbound lanes of I-75 were blocked in northern Rockcastle County.
The crash happened at 1 p.m. about 5 miles south of the Berea exit.
Troopers were working to reconstruct the wreck to determine what happened.
Traffic was rerouted at Exit 76 in Berea to U.S. 25 southbound.
