Police found the body of a 2-year-old girl in a well on the property owned by her mother's boyfriend who was accused of taking her, according to officials.
Laynee May Wallace was taken more than a week ago. Her body was found about 2:15 p.m. Monday near Glasgow in a well on Anthony Barbour's property, according to Kentucky State Police.
She was found after police discovered Barbour, 25, in a vehicle pulled over for a traffic stop at 1:16 p.m. Monday, police said. Barbour was arrested, but details on charges weren't immediately available.
Barbour, of Summer Shade, lived with Laynee and her mother in his home near the Barren and Monroe county line. Barbour's vehicle was found the day Laynee disappeared.
