The Lexington fire department is asking for help identifying two men who they think started two vehicle fires and a dumpster fire over the weekend near the Fayette County Public Schools office on East Main Street. A reward is being offered for their capture.
Capt. Chris O'Bryan said firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at 8:45 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Walton Avenue moments after a dumpster fire and a second vehicle fire were reported near Walton Avenue and Bullock Place.
Fire investigators released a surveillance video of the Ford 350 flatbed on Walton being destroyed. A second video, which was not immediately released, shows the two men running away as the truck catches fire, O'Bryan said. The two men ran down Aurora Avenue and toward North Ashland Avenue.
The vehicle fires are felonies, he added.
