A baby died and a toddler was injured in a crash in Cumberland County early Saturday.
Police say they believe the children's father, who was driving, had been drinking.
Timothy D. Alexander, 42, of Burkesville, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet truck westbound on Ky. 449 five miles south of Burkesville when the truck went off the road and hit a tree at 4:58 a.m., according to a news release from state police.
Jordan Alexander, 7 months old, who is thought to have been in a child safety seat but not properly restrained, died at the scene.

Timothy R. Alexander, 18 months old, was in a child safety seat as well. He was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.
Alexander was wearing a seat belt and also was taken to U of L Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
State police said they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash and they expect criminal charges to be filed.
